Alexander McGirr, MD, MSc, has published extensively on suicide and bipolar disorder, with a focus on risk factors, gender differences, and clinical course. His work includes systematic reviews and psychological autopsy studies examining suicide risk in major depressive disorder and borderline personality disorder, as well as recurrence following mania.
