David Olson, PhD, RPh, has published research on the prevalence and clinical-demographic correlates of diabetes mellitus among outpatients with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders, and other severe mental illnesses treated with atypical antipsychotic medications. His work, appearing in Psychiatrist.com between 2004 and 2005, includes studies on clozapine and other antipsychotic drugs. Olson has frequently collaborated with G. Oana Costea, J. Steven Lamberti, John F. Crilly, Karen Wiener, and Kumar Maharaj.
