Prof Dr Gerhard Gründer is affiliated with the Department of Molecular Neuroimaging at the Central Institute of Mental Health, Medical Faculty Mannheim, University of Heidelberg, and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Neuropsychopharmakologie und Pharmakopsychiatrie (AGNP) Task Force on Therapeutic Drug Monitoring. Since 2008, Gründer has published extensively on clinical pharmacology topics including therapeutic drug monitoring of antipsychotics such as olanzapine and risperidone, the impact of genetics and metabolism on psychotropic drug dosing, and neuropsychiatric conditions including depression, schizophrenia, addiction, and dementia. His work addresses the optimization of psychopharmacotherapy through blood level monitoring and pharmacogenetics. Frequent collaborators include Michael Paulzen, Christoph Hiemke, and Georgios Schoretsanitis.
