About
Paul Lichtenstein, PhD, has published extensively on suicide risk, violence, and psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders, and addiction. His research topics cover suicide immediately following psychiatric inpatient discharge, suicide risk after nonfatal self-harm, and suicide after prison release. He has also studied psychiatric risk factors for violent crime, filicide, and homicide, as well as alcohol use disorders in schizophrenia. His work appeared in Psychiatrist.com between 2009 and 2019.
