Stephen M. Strakowski, MD, has published extensively on bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders, child and adolescent psychiatry, mood disorders, movement disorders, and sexual dysfunction. His work includes studies on the clinical and neurobiological foundations of bipolar disorder, treatment trials for mood symptoms in adolescents at high risk for bipolar I disorder, and investigations into antipsychotic therapy and medication adherence across different ethnic groups. His research also addresses early course psychoses, differential prescription patterns, and outcomes in bipolar patients with comorbid personality disorders.
