Ute Kessler, MD, PhD, has published research on depression, focusing on the effects of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) on cognitive functions. Her work includes longitudinal comparisons of memory functions in depressed patients receiving ECT and investigations of neurocognitive outcomes in treatment-resistant bipolar disorder depression.
