John T. O'Brien, MRCPsych, has published extensively on neurology and dementia topics between 2001 and 2005. His work includes studies on neuroleptic sensitivity in Parkinson's disease and parkinsonian dementias, clinical outcomes related to neuroleptic discontinuation in dementia, the use of aromatherapy for agitation management in severe dementia, and the progression of psychosis and depression in dementia with Lewy bodies and Alzheimer's disease. He has frequently collaborated with Clive G. Ballard, Elaine K. Perry, Ian G. McKeith, and Alan G. Swann.
