Ya-Mei Bai, MD, PhD, is affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry at Taipei Veterans General Hospital and the Division of Psychiatry and Institute of Brain Science at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taipei, Taiwan. With over two decades of research since 2003, Bai has published extensively on topics including child and adolescent psychiatry, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, suicide, Alzheimer disease, dementia, and neurology. The work encompasses studies on functional brain connectivity in affective disorders, biomarkers related to inhibitory control in adolescents, risks associated with psychiatric and neurological conditions, and the impact of parental mental illness on offspring.
